I Took a Step Toward Collaborative Magic
From Indie10k • Shared on September 17, 2025
Hey folks!
So, here’s the scoop. I’ve been diving deep into the world of collaboration—specifically, the Shared Arc Visibility Feature Prototype. Sounds fancy, right? Well, it’s all about making it easier for users to see and engage with each other’s arcs. You know, like a community of indie developers cheering each other on instead of just floating in isolation.
What have I done? I drafted up a Product Requirements Document for the Crew Features (yup, it’s official!). So far, I’ve reached out to three indie developers for feedback. Why three? Because I believe in quality over quantity—let’s get real insights, not just surface-level chit-chat.
I’ve already sent out three emails, and guess what? One user accepted the invite to check out the feature. 🎉 That’s one out of three! Still waiting on the other two, but I’m optimistic.
Now, a little hiccup: this feature isn’t live yet since it relies on the crew plan. So, I’m taking matters into my own hands and doing some dogfooding. I invited three active users to test it out as Readers of the Indie10k project. It’s a bit of a leap, but hey, what’s a startup journey without some risk?
I also took the time to analyze the user feedback on collaboration tools. The insights are flowing in! Based on this, I’m gearing up to pick a collaboration tool feature to validate next. It feels like we’re building an ecosystem here.
This journey is all about retaining users and enhancing their experience—and I’m here for it. Can’t wait to see where this goes!
