But here’s the uncomfortable truth: signups ≠ customers.
Signups mean curiosity. Payment means pain.
I once launched a SaaS and hit 300 signups in two weeks. I thought, “Perfect, now the revenue will roll in.”
Reality: not one person converted. Zero. Nada.
The problem? Free users give feedback, but rarely pay. They don’t feel the pain deep enough to pull out a card.
Validation comes from wallets, not wishlists. Until you ask for money, you’re just collecting email addresses and false hope.

This week, skip chasing another 50 signups. Instead, message 3 people who already signed up. Ask: “Would you pay $X for this right now?”
If the answer is no, you just saved yourself months of wasted building.
