Cold Reach via Email

Goal:
Get 1 real reply from 5 targeted prospects in 15 minutes.

Instruction (to Business):

1. Define your target briefly (industry, size, role). Example: “Seed‑stage B2B SaaS founders.”
2. Find 5 companies fast:
   • YC Directory: https://www.ycombinator.com/companies (filter by industry), or
   • LinkedIn search:

     site:linkedin.com "Founder" [industry keyword]

     , or
   • Product Hunt topic: https://www.producthunt.com/topics/[topic] (pick recent launches)
3. Find contacts:
   • Use Hunter.io or Clearbit Connect or just Google, or guess

     firstname@company.com

     and confirm on the company site.
4. Send this email to each contact (personalize one sentence):

   Subject: Quick win for [Company]
   
   Hey [Name],
   Noticed [Company]’s [specific thing]. I help [role/team] [7‑word outcome].
   Happy to run a tiny free pilot this week to prove it. If it works, we can talk pricing.
   — [Your Name]
   

5. Send all 5 now. No drafts. Log who you contacted.

Instruction (to Consumer):

1. Pick one channel where your consumers already are (choose one): Reddit, Facebook Group, Discord, X/Twitter, Instagram/TikTok, or your email list.
2. Find 5 people expressing the problem today:
   • Reddit search:

     site:reddit.com/r/[subreddit] "[keyword]" ("how do I" OR "need help")

   • X search:

     "[keyword]" ("stuck" OR "any tips") lang:en

   • IG/TikTok: search hashtags

     #[keyword]

     and filter by “Recent”.
   • If you have a small email list, pick 5 recent subscribers.
3. Engage first (≈60s each): reply with one helpful tip or resource; ask permission to DM a free sample/trial.
4. DM or email using this 2‑line template:

   Hey [Name], saw your post about [problem].
   I made [product] to help people [specific benefit]. Can I send you a free [sample/demo code] to try today?
   

5. Send to 5 people. Log 1 reply as completion.

Example:
“Hey Sarah, just saw Lumina — love your YC launch.
I help founders get 5 backlinks in 5 days.
Want me to do one free pilot to prove it?”
